groves 0 Report post Posted March 19, 2011 I had 2 different carousels pulling thumbs from posts from designated categories. Now they've stopped working by not showing the thumbs. i didn't alter any of the settings and have checked them all again anyway. groves 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2011 Hi Catrina I deactivated all plugins as part of the process of making changes to the template set up (which doesn't work unless you do this) but sadly no correction to the carousel issue. Another thing that is happening now is that since adding a carousel to posts pages (with a default category set in Platform), the URL's behind each thumb on the carousel are fine but the images are all of the first post on that page http://www.insidemani.gr/tag/mani-history/ This too obviously needs to be corrected but i can't work out how. mat Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

bonngean 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2011 @Catrina, I think it's a bug somewhere because I have the same problem. When I originally created post #1, the post thumbnail showed in my carousel. When I added post #2 and placed a different image for the post, it used the image from post #1 even though it did take you to post #2 when clicked. THEN... I decided I wanted to changed my "featured images" for both posts and did so. Now my carousel shows "no thumbnail available" just like it does for Mat. Seems to me something needs to be fixed in the code... If our carousel are going to be broken just because we want to change an image on a post -- the carousel feature becomes useless to us. --Bonnie P.S. This kind of messes up how my site navigates and to be honest, having the carousel option was one of the reasons I went with Platform in the first place. Is there really nothing I can do? cmunns 16 Report post Posted March 29, 2011 Mat, there is definitely a solution...but pointing potential easy solutions is always first order of business so we can be sure there is a bug somewhere. I think in your case you just don't have thumbnails set to show or didn't set them in the first place. If you click one of the thumbs to go to the single post page there is no thumb...so why would it show in the carousel? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
groves 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2011 Adam In the Platform settings I took out the thumb for single post pages (but did not delete the thumb from each individual post). I have changed this back but still the carousel doesn't show the thumbs. I have checked that in the Platform Carousel settings thumbs are set to post images and on this page, http://www.insidemani.gr/the-mani/walks/ that the category slug is set to "walks". Nada.
