Recommended Posts

hops

Hello! The first is to apologize for my english, because I`m from Spain. My problem is with all the images I`ve uploaded trough Pagelines Platform Pro,the Custom Header Image, features, boxes...nothing. I lost all of them when I changed the permalink structure in my wordpress. Neither I can upload a new one. Everything looks like it work all rigth but I can't view the images.. maybe it's a problem with the path? they are still in the same folder. I would be very greatful if somebody helps me, thanks.

Are you sure the path to the uploads folder is the same. Changing the permalinks shouldn't affect the functionality of the image uploader.

If you don't have Misc Settings that means you're using an old version of PlatformPro. If you've updated your WordPress install to the latest version you also need to updated PlatformPro and vice versa: http://www.pagelines.com/launchpad/member.php Thanks, Bryan

Brian, I have read some of your answers to similar questions, perhaps you can help me here. My hosting provider wants to me to use the path /content/HostingPlus/d/r/dragonclass.ie/web/wp-content/uploads for stuff that I upload. With my new PagelinesPro template, this is now /content/HostingPlus/d/r/dragonclass.ie/web/wp-content/themes/platform/core/images/ In either case, it causes the same problem as for Javier above here: uploaded image or doc files are simply not there. Can you help me understand what is wrong here, and how I can resolve the problem? Thanks, Mons

Hi Kate, Well, I have changed it to /content/HostingPlus/d/r/dragonclass.ie/web/wp-content/uploads. (the long URL that is, the short I have left to default). With this, all material that I upload falls neatly into folders under wp-content/uploads...like it should, I suppose. I can "see them" coming in via FTP, and when I edit the image in WP. However, the image is not display on any posts, pages, or whatever. Question is, I guess (you hear I am no expert at this, learning as I go along), do I have to change php code anywhere to "instruct" it to find the upload folder? Or should I point WP/PlatformPro to another folder for my uploads? This is probably something very basic, at least for you. M??ns

Kate, I also get this (just discovered it). What is this? Dynamic CSS File Not Writable Your dynamic CSS file is not writable by the server. To fix just change the file permissions of your dynamic.css file to 666, and you'll be all set. After setting your file permissions, hit the save button so your dynamic CSS can be generated. The file is located here: /content/HostingPlus/d/r/dragonclass.ie/web/wp-content/uploads/pagelines/dynamic.css

Since your dynamic file isn't writable I'm guessing that your other directory also isn't writeable which is why your uploads aren't showing up. The location shouldn't be the culprit. If you have ftp and click "info" for any file or directory you can set the permissions that way in most cases.
