jjcubz 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2011 I used the installation tutorial to install both platform pro and platform base. It said to active the base version. As I did, I got this error: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /home/content/s/p/a/spapmd/html/wordpress/wp-content/themes/platformpro/sections/nav/section.nav.php on line 13 How do I fix this? The only thing I can do at this point is delete both versions of platform and use a different template. What am I doing wrong?
cmunns 16 Report post Posted March 16, 2011 If this is a fresh version that seems odd to come from only that one section. The site shows up despite this or no?
cmunns 16 Report post Posted March 16, 2011 Does it work if you activate the core theme ?
jjcubz 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2011 The site will only work with the platform products deleted from the server and the original (TwentyTen) default theme activated. If I use either version of platform pro, I consistently get that same error. If you have any ideas how to fix this, I'd love to hear it! Thanks.
cmunns 16 Report post Posted March 17, 2011 Hey Jennifer can you check to see what PHP version you are running? If you don't know, there are plugins that will help you check.
jjcubz 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2011 I was on PHP4. I switched to PHP5 and it seems to be running smoothly now. Thank you so much for your help!
