bstp 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2011 Hello, Here is my problem: http://michelgermain.me/chroniques/ As you can see the navigation and archives are under the main body of the page. This is like this since I've updated the theme to 1.3.2. (The behavior did occur before, but I'm not sure how it stopped.) I tried to fiddle a bit, to no avail. Can you help me with this one? This is a client's website. Thanks!
bstp 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2011 More information on the bug or the feature: when I remove the text widget, the sidebar reappears. But see the footer: when there is a text widget at left, the three columns disappear. Strange.
bryan-hadaway 3 Report post Posted March 16, 2011 If you want to leave widget titles blank use instead: ` ` Also, check for markup issues: http://validator.w3.org/ Thanks, Bryan
bstp 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2011 Hello, Aside for a name attribute, the page validates for HTML5. When I say "text widget", that's really that. See for instance: http://michelgermain.me/ I updated that site too with 1.3.2, and this site can show a text widget without any fuss. I can send you a screencast of the strange behavior if you need. bstp 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2011 Ok, I think I solved my problem: I redid my text widget. Now it reappears properly. Problem solved! Thanks anyway,
bstp 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2011 I do not know if this is a good place to provide feedback about buggy behavior, but here it goes: The problem resurfaced when I entered a paragraph with long sentences. So it must be the wrapping of the paragraphs. (I did try to toggle on and off the little box called "Cr?©er automatiquement les paragraphes" in French.) *** Using "poetic" stanzas solves the problem. And it improves the clarity of the text itself, so it's good enough for me. (I did try to change the px of the sidebar, so that's not that.)
