How do I increase the post preview size with pictures?

Put whatever you want to appear in the Excerpts box, located directly below the post editor box. You may have to go up to 'screen options' at the top of the page to enable the Excerpts box.

It looks like it loses all formatting, but more importantly doesn't look like I can put a picture in there. Can I not just put a line break in the post to tell where to cut if off?

Excerpts do not allow you to add a picture or any line breaks (it's only possible to add these things within the post editor area).

@catarina yah so I still have the same issue of the page only showing 4 sentences and no pictures. I'd like to increase the post snippet and have pictures. Any ideas?

Hi Michael, First, let's address the picture: Are you trying to use the "Featured Image" that's available with WP and PlatformPro? If so, go to "Settings->Blog and Posts". In there you'll see an option to make thumbnails visible on the posts page. Be sure to select that. (Of course, you'll have to make sure you've uploaded a Featured Image on the post itself.)
