Animating Boxes with a menu

Hi there, We are using boxes (images) as our main form of user navigation on from our homepage. We would like to add a submenu to each box, so that when you click on the box, you have a sub-menu that appears on the same page linking to the multiple pages that come under this box. For example, if the front page box is labelled Resources, and then the mouse hovers over this box, a sub menu appears (posters, songs, videos) and the user is able to click through to one of these options from the resources box on the front page. Is this possible? What are the ways I can do this without code editing? Is there a plugin or widget that enables this? Thanks

I've seen plugins for dropdown menus like this (but only for the main navigation menu, not boxes). I think it's possible, but it will involve code editing. Can you provide an example of what you'd like the submenu to look like (a link to a website with a menu you like, perhaps)?

There are jQuery scripts used to achieve that sort of look. They just have to be implemented to include the menu links and look that you want and the code for each menu has to be added to each box.
