kabosh1 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2011 Hi I was just after some help - my feature slider is not changing/sliding/working in Firefox or IE. It just static displays the most recently uploaded image for that feature set. The error log generated in IE is below. (I even moved my MailChimp signup widget to another page in case this was conflicting with it? but it hasn't helped anything) www.maryscommercialhotel.com.au Many thanks Kate Webpage error details User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; InfoPath.2; .NET4.0C) Timestamp: Thu, 10 Mar 2011 04:48:49 UTC Message: 'jQuery' is undefined Line: 2 Char: 2 Code: 0 URI: http://maryscommercialhotel.com.au/site/wp-content/plugins/mailchimp/js/mailchimp.js?ver=1.2.2 Message: 'jQuery' is undefined Line: 67 Char: 4 Code: 0 URI: http://maryscommercialhotel.com.au/site/about'>http://maryscommercialhotel.com.au/site/about Message: 'jQuery' is undefined Line: 6 Char: 1 Code: 0 URI: http://maryscommercialhotel.com.au/site/wp-content/plugins/embed-facebook/slimbox2/js/slimbox2.js Message: Object expected Line: 119 Char: 2 Code: 0 URI: http://maryscommercialhotel.com.au/site/about'>http://maryscommercialhotel.com.au/site/about Message: 'jQuery' is undefined Line: 13 Char: 2 Code: 0 URI: http://maryscommercialhotel.com.au/site/wp-content/themes/platformpro/sections/nav/superfish.js?ver=1.0 Message: 'jQuery' is undefined Line: 10 Char: 1 Code: 0 URI: http://maryscommercialhotel.com.au/site/wp-content/themes/platformpro/sections/nav/jquery.bgiframe.min.js?ver=1.0 Message: 'jQuery' is undefined Line: 10 Char: 1 Code: 0 URI: http://maryscommercialhotel.com.au/site/wp-content/themes/platformpro/sections/features/jquery.cycle.js?ver=2.
bryan-hadaway 3 Report post Posted March 10, 2011 Can you temporarily disable your plugins altogether and check again? Thanks, Bryan
kabosh1 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2011 Thanks for replying so promptly Bryan! I have deactivated all plugins, refreshed - but still no change at all. The error log is shorter by IE though... bryan-hadaway 3 Report post Posted March 10, 2011 What host are you using and PHP version? If you're not sure ask your host. Also, I'm going to have a developer look at this. Thanks, Bryan

Andrew 207 Report post Posted March 10, 2011 Hey Kate, An inspection with Firebug showed that your Jquery JS file in your header is returning a `500` server error. This could be a plugin conflict or server issue. Did you check with your host about it?
kabosh1 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2011 Hi Andrew Thank you for your reply. What should I be asking my host? Will they feel this is their responsibility at all? Thanks Kate
bryan-hadaway 3 Report post Posted March 15, 2011 Just tell them you're experiencing server errors/issues and ask if they can take a closer look and maybe check your error logs. I understand you may not understand what they are talking or us for that matter, please just report the info back. You might also reference this topic to your host: http://www.pagelines.com/forum/topic.php?id=7095 Thanks, Bryan
leemac 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2011 I had a similar issue. I just want to say that disabling all of my plugins resolved it. =] I discovered that TubePress was the plugin that broke the feature slider. Major bummer, because I love Tubepress... time to get creative, i guess!
