Feature Images Incorrectly Sized

Recommended Posts

sarahenicephotography

I've been fiddling with this for days now and I am afraid to mess anything else up. I am in the Magazine Layout Mode and I want a feature image shown beside each exerpt to a post, rather than having it so bland-looking without them. What can I do? http://sarahenicephotography.com/

You need to alter the Page and Post options in the PP Settings panel. so that thumbnails are displayed on each post type clips.blog.cats etc

Where do I need to go to do that? I can't find any place to fix it under Blog and Posts.

I just did what I've been doing, which is setting the feature image so that it is shown on the main page beside each post. They are tall and skinny and I don't know how to stretch them out to a normal size.

Hi Sarah, You can find the option here: Settings->Blog and Posts->Post Thumbnail Placement.

Hi Sarah, I apologize... I hadn't refreshed my page after your second post. Question: are you using IE?

Actually, I use IE at work and Firefox at home.

Oh! I see what you're asking. Hmm...well you would have to change the order and possible css position of the code itself to get the clip excerpts to be on the right of the thumb. Is that what you want to do?

Yes, I want the featured image at a decent thumbnail size to the left of the excerpt of each post. If you look at my site right now (it's a big mess currently, but I'm working on it) you can see how deformed the thumbs are.

deformed? They aren't deformed for me, this must be an IE issue. usually fixed by applying css to the image so it has a strict width.

Well every time I try to fix it to look okay I end up messing something else up. How do I apply css to the image?
