BBPress community pages with PageLines Pro

Recommended Posts

Jamie Gilleland

I've done the full intergration, deep integration with Pagelines Pro Dev, BuddyPress, BuddyPress Template Pack and bbPress. The login is working fine between the two. What I'm not able to figure out is how to get the "community" pages to show? In BP Compatibility, it lists * /activity/index.php * /blogs/index.php * /forums/index.php * /groups/index.php * /groups/create.php * /groups/single/home.php * /groups/single/plugins.php * /members/index.php * /members/single/home.php * /members/single/plugins.php * /registration/register.php Do we have to modify those files? I can't even seem to find them. What have I done wrong. If I use the BuddyPress Default theme, those pages are there. Help... www.leadlikeus.com Thanks.. Jamie

Have you actually started creating with BuddyPress? Go to Pages and see what you have going on in there. Most likely it's just a matter if creating a custom menu in: Appearance > Menus to show what you want. Thanks, Bryan

That's what confuses me.. There are 49 "demo posts" in there, when I pull a random user or group I can see them. When I change the theme to the buddypress theme, it automatically creates an "activity" "groups" ... etc navigation. But it's not a created page. This is the first time I've worked with BuddyPress and bbPress, transfering site from a smf forum to this, and not finding alot of documentation on using buddypress. I chose the pagelines themes because of the buddypress integration and forum theme.

Okay, I'm going to see if we can get some developer insight into this. Thanks, Bryan

Jamie, as Bryan said it is as easy as making a menu. When I change the theme to the default BuddyPress theme it generates the menu for you. But if you use PlatformPro or other themes you need to make the menu. It is very easy: 1. Go to Menu (under "Appearance") 2. Create a new menu. Then create a "Custom Link" menu items for your Activity, Members, and Groups pages, and add them to the new menu. Their addresses are: http://leadlikeus.com/activity http://leadlikeus.com/members http://leadlikeus.com/groups 3. Add any other page, blog, or blog category you want. Save your menu. 4. Select your new menu as your "Primary Website Navigation" and save it. That is it. 7oGrHl.png
