Comments on PlatformPro not showing

I've enabled comments in Discussions and selected posts, however the option to comment is not available. Please help!

Hey Andrew - If you revert to the "TwentyTen" theme, do you see the option appear then? It's possible this is a WP issue...

No Kate. It's not a WP problem. It's a PlatformPro problem. Please tell me how I can solve this.

I see the comment function on ALL other themes but not Platform Pro. Have even tried activating a comment plugin on PlatformPro; doesn't work either. I have enabled Comments in Settings > Discussions as well as on individual posts. What else am I supposed to do?

Found out why: Page content area must have comment form enabled. Didn't see that earlier.

Hello Andrew (or anybody out there), I've the same problem, that the comment form does not show on either pages nor posts. So my question to you: Where do I enable the comment form? At the Settings for "Template Setup": I do have draged & dropped "the Comment Form" to "Displayed" for each "Single Post Content Area Template Sections" and "Page Content Area Template Sections" but there I can only choose "Hide" not "Enable". Please, please tell me where I'll have to enable the damn thing... Thank you

I've finally found it, wow, after some hours search... There's a "screen option" at the very very top, where you can check what options should be available in edit mode... never seen it before, and never changed it before, but now the comment option where unchecked... Well, well, maybe this will help somebody else. bye

i have also enabled Comments in Settings > Discussions as well as on individual posts the comments block is placed into the page content area, however, i cannot find a screen option," even with text search on the page content area template sections drag and drop settings page. comments are working on posts but not on pages.

if i am logged in as an admin, i see the comment form -- so i'm a bit further. if i am logged in as a new user who has not commented before, when i click reply, nothing happens and there is no "leave a comment" form. i have "must have a previously approved comment" selected, because it's important for this site. however, even when i uncheck that option, the comment form does not appear to a subscriber who is logged in (right now i have only tested subscribers who are logged in who have never commented before --- but these are the most important people who need to be able to respond on pages). i tried changing the page template and "custom page" does not have the comments section available when you go to drag and drop page elements/components. i checked hide comments and it does hide the existing comments. can you tell me what i can still try to activate comments on pages?
