Design control changes are not commited when AJAX Saving is disabled

Hi First of all, I am happy that I can finally change the colors of my site with the Design Control (I hate doing coloring with text css). I have been struggling with this in the recent versions including 1.3.1. Problem: when ajax saving is disabled (misc settings), changes to colors in Design Control are not committed when saved if Ajax Saving is disabled. solution: I just enabled it again and colors are finally showing!

Seems like a weird server setup, but thanks for the tip. Also, just for my curiosity what browser do you use typically?

my hosting company is host monster, very standard unix server config as far as I know. Chrome is my browser of choice, thanks!
