Need help with some basics

Just bought pagelines platform pro. I am setting up to migrate my existing page http://batonrougecounseling.net into platform pro. I have fair understanding of wp and menus and pages, etc. Was hoping to get a question answered. 1. I just installed a fresh wp 3.1 install in the home dir. My old site is done in html/css and so I am just leaving it there until I get the ppro install ready. Browsers will load the index.htm first and ignore index.php if there are both there, so this is ok. 2. Installed ppro and pbase per the instructions, and everything goes ok, no problem. By default, though, the main page "/" (root) is set as the blog page. I want to do the features page and do the fading 4 pics thingy on the / page. For the life of me I cannot figure out how to do that -- how to put the "blog" part of the install on /weblog/ (in a "page") and have the root / of the install be the intro page with a features fader thingy. Like I think I can figure out how to do all my pages and subpages, but I've spent 2 hours trying to figure out how to control the main root / page itself. I also noticed when some people have posted their sites, several people do it like: http://mysitehere.com/home/ As if they gave up on figuring out how to control that main page and just did their intro/main page on /home. My existing site is PR3 and I need the link juice to flow to the root domain. So, I need to know how to control the main page in / and then also how to make the blog part of my site be in /weblog Thanks in advance! Can't wait to get this working, it's awesome.

Wouldn't you know, just after I posted the question, I figured it out. Wow. Sorry about that. Basic.
