Text on our about page wigged out when we upgraded, nav lost color too

Hi, We upgraded to the platform pro 1.3.1, and base versions today, and everything looks fine except for 2 things. With pro or the base theme activated, the text on the about page wigged out and got all huge. It should look like the text on all our other pages. With just the base theme activated, the white color dropped out of our navigation text, and the about page main text was all sized weird. Neither of which was ok, and neither of which we can fix. Here's the link to our site: http://jeffsbesthemp.com/wordpress/ All we did was upgrade. Please tell us how to fix this. Everything else looks great. Thank you!

Okay, so we definitely want to fix this right, with the base activated. So make sure that's the case, then how do you want to style the nav under this circumstance. The CSS selectors might have changed just enough in the upgrade to throw off some of your styles. Have you picked up Firebug yet to dig into the code for easy testing?: http://www.pagelines.com/docs/changing-colors-fonts Thanks, Bryan

Hi Bryan, The custom code we have in the custom code area right now is this: body #primary-nav ul.sf-menu li a { font-weight: bold; font-size: 12px } body div.branding_wrap {text-align: center;} #branding .content-pad{padding-bottom:0px;} #primary-nav ul.sf-menu ul li a{background:#80D23F} Please let us know how to make it normal again or we'll have to switch back to the previous version until this is stabilized. Also please remember we're not web designers, that's why we purchased this theme. Firebug is neat, but we don't speak the language. Thank you.

HI Bryan, Good question. All that's in our custom code came from info we've gotten from the forum. Apart from that, we've got no idea. All we did was download it after we got the notice 1.3.1 was available,install/upgrade per the instructions and stuff went all jumbo on us. What's the resolution?

even weirder is it only did it on that specific page. but the whole thing was upgraded at the same time and all the other pages look normal. Maybe we should just switch back to the previous version of platform pro until this is ironed out, this is way over our heads.

Okay, let's start with this. On your homepage "About" there are a bunch of tags indeed like; `` and ``. Please edit "About" from your Pages section. Now, top right of the textarea editing window you should see two tabs; Visual and HTML. Switch to HTML editing mode and remove all garbage code. On the other hand if it's not in there perhaps it's a plugin causing all the problems, try deactivating plugins. Thanks, Bryan

SWEET! That did the trick guys. Thank you. We're totally perplexed where all that junk came from. In case it is of assistance to the common good, all we did was put in visual mode, select all, copy, and paste it onto our notepad really fast. We then deleted all the text listed on the page under the visual settings. We then put select all for the text on the notepad, copy, and pasted it back onto the page for the text area in the "about" page. All was clean and good. No mysterious garbage html. I hope this helps anyone else out, it seriously only took 1 minute to make it right. TOPS. High five for effective problem solving. thanks guys!
