Difficulty adding LinkedWithin to Platform Pro

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to add the popular LinkedWithin plugin manually, to my blog. Instead of using the plugin, which will place the resulting sharing links wherever it chooses, I'm trying to do it manually with the script code provided by LinkedWithin. (LinkedWithin has a provision for placing a labelled tag to position the widget when using the plugin - but this doesn't seem to work). I put the script code inside a function I have created to hook to the "pagelines_loop_post_end" hook, so that the LinkedWithin links show up just below my blog posts. I've successfully used this hook to display social media sharing buttons in this location. However, the LinkedWithin widget erroneously appears at the top of my blog post right after the title, totally unexpectedly. I'm placing the code in an existing function that already works and places separate code exactly where I want it. LinkedWithin seems to ignore this.

Hmmm can you show us a link to the site? So does the hook add it in two locations then?

No, the hook only added it in one location. Due to the screwy nature of the issue, I decided to just scrap it and go with YARPP related plugins. Not as simple, or fancy, but it cooperates better.
