Page names not displayed below the header navigation/ platform 1.3.1

Hello, I've just updated to Platform 1.3.1. I miss the display of the name of the sub-pages in the navigation. Platform 1.2.3. displayed the names of the pages below the line of the primary navigation. Is there a setting I have to check?

Are you talking about the Subnav? Did you place the Secondary navigation bar in the template setup?

I have the same question. In 1.2.1 (PlatformPro Settings > Header and Nav > Hide Sub Navigation) there was an option to allow/not allow for an auto-generated Sub Nav to appear if a page had any child pages. This setting seems to be missing from 1.3.1. In your templates it's possible to drag in the Secondary Nav, but it's not the same. If I have five pages with unique child pages, it would require a separate menu be created for each of them (manually, including future page name changes). Also, this same Secondary Nav must be manually selected for each of the child pages and the parent page. This an obvious multiplier effect if your site has a number of separate parent child relationships. Perhaps I'm missing something? It would be great if the prior settings option remained, but was coded so that it gets overridden if a Secondary Nav is manually selected for a page.

@Angelo - we thought about the tradeoffs, and decided it is better to not rely on a parent/child relationship with pages, as pages can only have 1 parent. This becomes an issue when you want to have the same page in 2 sub navs for example... WP is designed so you can have as many menus as you want, and we think this is the best way to manage your sub navigation.

I definitely see your point. If I could only have one, it would be the option you chose. With that said, if there is a way to make it an if/then contingent function like I described in my final sentence above, that would be great. Maybe in a future release. Overall, plenty of helpful new features, so thanks!

@cmunns - Yes, I talked about the SubNav. I have the same problem as Angelo Pullen. I miss the option in the Header section setup to activate or de-activate the Subnav. And the Subnav is not displayed although I have added the SecondaryNav element to the page, and it's not deactivated in the page settings. How can I manage to have the SubNav displayed? In fact, it's an important feature for me why I have chosen the Platform theme ...

Each page now has a meta option for it under the General Settings tab where you can select the menu you want to show.

Thanks a lot, now I understood how it works. It's a bit more complicated than in 1.2.3, but ... however ... it works!

Hi I think it is a bad decision to remove sub-navigation option. I really don't want to have to redesign my menu system to fit this. I have a "main" custom menu which has a three level hierarchy. I'm not relying on parent-child relationships but the ability to create sub levels within the wordpress menu designer. I'd like to see these reflected within the theme both in the dropdown menu and sub-navigation Is it possible to give us this option? Thanks

Hi, I also have the (sub)navigation issue. I tried to solve the problem with the meta option under General Settings on each page, but unfortunately nothing changed. What did I do wrong? Or -even better- what do I have to do exactly do get things in order? Thanks! (www.iizzoo.nl)

Okay, figured it out. 1 You have to get the secundary navbar in the header template. 2. You have to make seperate menues in the wordpress section. 3. On each page you have to select in the General Settings section the subnav you want. Well, it's easy (now) and I like it ! Problem solved.
