makeylon 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2011 There is no need to update base. The purpose of base is to avoid having to update it, since base is where you place all your changes and edits (ideally). However, if you try to use wordpress' theme installer, you'll have to activate the default theme first, then delete or rename PlatformPro, then install the new platformpro, then reactivate Base. If you choose to update base, just make sure you document ALL your edits/changes so you can put them back in once you update base. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
maggiecurran 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2011 I just purchased this theme and it is corrupted. I can't upload the zip file using the WP theme install function. It gives an error message: Installing Theme from uploaded file: platformpro.zip Unpacking the package??¦ Could not create directory .../wp-content/upgrade/platformpro/platformpro It doesn't matter if I try to install the base theme first - same message. I uploaded the unzipped files to the themes directory and I got the white screen of death, so I had to remove the theme from the folder. HELP! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
