Layout Dimensions seem to change by themselves (PFPrp 1.3.0.2)

Recommended Posts

Seems, that after adjusting some things in the other areas of the PlatformPro settings, namely the custom css, Layout Dimensions change by themselves into weird negative values, causing the site to break completely. After redoing the desired values, it lasts for a while, the changes again.

Will take a look at this one for you guys... Can you email me with a login so I can duplicate the issue? Probably another easy fix related to a server issue.

Same here. The timing and amount of change to layout dimensions seems random to me. I just changed a tertiary text color and following a refresh things went a bit whacky. (Sorry, mine's a local install otherwise I'd post a link).

And this isn't a 1.3 or 1.3.02 issue. This was happening before the upgrade. It happens at random times but typically when changing something in the Design Control section. Just a color or something and poof...its negative size columns.

Also happened to me twice, I just go to the layout editor and change the size to the correct size. My hosting is HostGator.

And I'm hosting on a dedicated RedHat 5EL/Plesk 8.6 server at what is now called Softlayer. And to all the other folks having this happen, what version of PHP are you running? I am still on 5.1.6. Maybe its something there since most of the rest of the world is at least 5.2 ;-)

Just happen again, happened after I change some setting in the Feature Section. Here is the screenshot: QZHNH.png FYI for those who get this same issue and don't know how to solve it, temporary solution is to adjust the layout size manually.

If it helps, its always -24 on the global width as far as I can remember.

Darren, as far as I know you don't have to resetting to defaults, what you should do is just choose & edit the layout in the Layout Editor section according to your previous setting. Well this is not the best solution (the best one is to fix the root of the issue, need to wait for updates from Platform Team for this one), but at least it works.

i tried adjusting the sliders the first time it happened but it didn't seem to change anything for me. i'm not sure if that's because it's set to "full width + canvas" or other custom code i'm using. i will definitely try it again the next time it happens though. or 1.3.0.3 :P *nudge* thanks!

Darren, before you tried adjusting the slider, you should try click / select the layout to edit first, I mean clicking the picture representative of the layout. (FYI I'm using the full width + canvas). HSr0N.png

Ya, well its bug alright, but I need to see the code to identify what is causing the issue. No one so far has emailed a login with the issue. ([email protected]) Specifically, there is some math being applied and the options don't seem to be loading the appropriate values some of the time.

Darren, I found that I couldn't adjust the stuff with the GUI either, I had to go in and give it a real width that wasn't negative first and then I could go in and start messing with things again. Might have to play with it a bit to get it started but then it starts working.

Tried to address this in 1.3.1 ... since we've had a hard time duplicating the issue; you guys will have to confirm. Ap

No, sorry! The following happened: After installing the last update (1.3.1) I switched to Base to explore it a little bit. Then, after reactivating PlarformPro, a had some minus data again. P.S.: Just wanted to ad: Platform is a really great theme and I love it.
