Have my blog latest posts under the feature template

Recommended Posts

Hiya I would like to have the feature template for the White House but rather than having a static page underneath, I would like to have the blog lastest posts underneath instead... and also have none of the 3 feature boxes. Can you please advise how this can be done? Many thanks Sanjib

Go to Settings > Reading and select the option Your latest posts. This will display the latest posts right underneath your feature slider. As for the three boxes underneath, you can hide them by going to Theme Options > Feature Setup and unchecking the box next Show widgetized columns above footer? under Show sidebars above footer ("morefoot area").

Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to.

Hiya thanks for the prompt reply..... I selected "latest posts" under reading in settings, but now the feature slider is removed... it just shows the latest posts without the featured section above... do advise how I can retain the slider and have the blog underneath.. thanks again, Sanjib

Did you drag the feature slider into the posts page template in Template Setup?

Under the "Pages and Posts" section in the settings did you check off the "Show feature template on posts page?" radio box?

I saw this an an answer to the same question about a year ago.. will it still work? ............................................................. So we're going to have to make a new document called: page-highlight-posts.php. copy and paste this code into it: <?php if(VPRO) { /* Template Name: Highlight Page - Posts */ }?> <?php if(VPRO):?> <?php get_header(); ?> <div id="content" class=" fix"> <div id="maincontent" class="fix"> <?php require(PRO.'/template_highlight.php');?> <?php require(LIB.'/_sub_head.php');?> <div class="clear"></div> <?php query_posts(); ?> <?php include (LIB . '/_posts.php'); ?> </div> <?php get_sidebar();?> </div> <?php get_footer();?> <?php endif;?>

Hi Sanjib - The "settings" they're referring to is the PlatformPro settings area, not the default WP "settings".

WHP should have the option that Tyler discussed. Are you using the most up to date version of WHP?
