Help with 3 (possibly very simple) changes in PlatformPro

Recommended Posts

Hi there, I need help with a couple of things please. Hopefully all very simple: Screenshot for reference 1. How do I take the margin/padding off the header so that there is no space between the logo and the top of the browser? I??™ve tried making the body 0px for margin-top and padding-top but it only got rid of the slither showing the background colour. 2. How can I remove the line at the end of a page (see screenshot)? 3. Very simply, I want to put a centred copyright notice in the footer, but I can??™t see how to add this in? Have had a look in ???footer options??™ but can??™t see what section would add in a simple bit of text in the ???template setup??™ for the ???site footer??™ Any solutions or advice would be great. Thanks, Mike

Sorted number 1 :) Needed to change the top padding on '#branding .content-pad'

Number 2 sorted now (I've got the theme.css file in Dreamweaver so am searching for the right elements) This is what needed to change: hr, .fpost, .clip_box, .widget-title, #buddypress-page .item-list li, .metabar a, #morefoot .widget-title, #site #dsq-content h3{ border-bottom: 1px solid #E9E9E9; }

1 . Add the following line to your css rules: #branding .content-pad { padding-top:0; } 2 . If memory serves, a lot of elements (read sections) include that line so it will depend on what's on that specific template. 3 . Edit your PlatformPro Settings > Template Setup > Site Footer and remove the 5 column Footer Sidebar. Then just add a Text Widget to the footer with the desired text and add custom css rules if needed. That should sort you out =)

Thanks Ricardo! I suspect I'm being a bit thick with the footer though - I can't see a simple text widget in the available/disabled sections for the site footer, in template setup. Which section should I use?

Sorry Michael, my bad, let me rephrase point #3: - If you have removed the 5 column Footer Sidebar from the Site Footer, put it back in. Then go to the Widgets and simply add a Text Widget to the Footer Sidebars. The widget will replace all the content from the 5 columns. Ricardo
