Widgetized Footer Sidebar not showing

Recommended Posts

Anthony Luth

I have

Show widgetized columns above footer

selected under the Sidebar Settings in WP-Admin however these do not show up. I'm not sure why they don't nor does the full width sidebar as well. I don't know what's causing it...any help would be much appreciated! Political Shortfalls

It's hard to tell off so little info...WHP hasn't been updated recently so there aren't any bugs that could have popped up..

Nope, it's still stock. I was thinking of maybe trying to modify the template but so far I was just trying to make everything work

Perhaps a plugin is causing the conflict? Try temporarily disabling all of your third-party plugins and see if that does the trick.

Currently I have no plugins installed. I've tried with and without plugins on 2 separate sites, and with the latest versions of WP (3.0.4, 3.0.5 & 3.1) the widgetized footer does not appear.

Do you have widgets placed in those sidebar areas so that you'll be able to tell if it shows up?? :/ had to ask...

Yeah, I've tested a few different variables including widgets, uninstalling plugins, updating theme files, etc, all to no avail :'(

Actually, with these themes (other from PlatformPro) I believe you need to set the full width sidebar page/post by page/post in page/post individual settings. Thanks, Bryan

Thanks Bryan, But as far as I know with WHP3 you shouldn't need to set that, as its coded into the template for it. Just to be sure I even tested that idea, again with no results. IDK, might just be time to give up on pagelines and work out a new theme myself.

I've used all sorts of themes and I can tell you I'll only ever use PlatformPro for future client projects. Sounds like something I might have to say, but it's just true. Any theme you use no matter what... is a tool to ease the web design process, you'll always need to put the work in for customizations, a theme can never nor should have every bell or whistle. That being said, we just have to figure out what the issue is, I've successfully used the full width sidebar widget on every theme time and time again. For these tough ones, we sometimes just have to get in there and have a look. If you'd like to email me the login details I can do so: [email protected] Thanks, Bryan

Sorry, I missed this. For future reference, make sure to reference the topic that the login details refer to. The URL is perfect and all you need to additionally supply: http://www.pagelines.com/forum/topic.php?id=6511 This is more or less what I figured, you had the options backwards. When going to Pages and editing "Home" this is what you really want and for future pages: Show Full Width Sidebar area at bottom of page/post - should have been checked Hide widgetized columns on top of footer - shouldn't be checked Looks a little funky right now until you fill in with enough widgets and in the proper places. Thanks, Bryan
