3.1 Issue - Menu Dropdowns go away when using any plugin that executes php

After upgrading to 3.1 today, I discovered that my menu dropdowns in Platform Pro have stopped working. After troubleshooting, I discovered that the "exec php" plugin caused the problem. I've tried about ten different plugins to fix the menu problem and allow php to run on my page, but none have worked. The plugins that allow php to run always break the menus, whether the plugin allows it globally or with shortcode. Is there a fix in the works? Has anyone successfully found a plugin that works without breaking the menus?

check with the plugin provider? maybe a JS conflict is occuring? (running firebug?)
