Social Networking Icons Color

Recommended Posts

zach110

Hi, At the top-right of my site are the social networking icons (youtube, linkedin, facebook, twitter). When the curser is placed over them they become colorful. I like this! How can I make them stay colorful all the time? Thanks, Zachary http://creditrepairnow.net/

In Platform Pro panel control, go to Custom CSS rules and paste this piece of code :

.icons .twitterlink {background: url("../images/sprite-socialicons.png") no-repeat scroll -22px -22px transparent}
	.icons .facebooklink {background: url("../images/sprite-socialicons.png") repeat scroll -88px -22px transparent}
	.icons .linkedinlink {background: url("../images/sprite-socialicons.png") no-repeat scroll -66px -22px transparent}
	.icons .youtubelink {background: url("../images/sprite-socialicons.png") no-repeat scroll -44px -22px transparent}

I'm a CSS beginner but it should works. Have a good day. Jean-Philippe

Hi Jean, Thank you very much for your quick reply! Unfortunately this made the icons disappear entirely... Any other ideas? Thanks again! -Zach

The CSS should be correct. Are you adding this to Custom Code > Custom CSS? Thanks, Bryan

Yes, I added it to Custom Code > Custom CSS. I have also tried deactivating plugins and clearing caches (wordpress and browser). As you can see, the icons have disappeared yet you can still click where they used to be and go to the linked pages. The CSS says transparent, is this the problem? Any ideas? http://creditrepairnow.net/ Thanks again for the help!

Ok, my fault. I should told you to copy the correct url. For example if you use the child theme:

.icons .facebooklink {background: url("http://www.kankei.fr/wp-content/themes/platformbase/images/sprite-socialicons.png") repeat scroll -88px -22px transparent}

Just replace the blue text with your own correct repertory. Jean-Philippe
