Feature Background Images disappearing over and over again

Have to add Feature Background Images over and over again. Is there a way to force the path somewhere where you can actually see the images like in WP Media directory? Why do you have to upload the image instead of reconnecting it from directory? No extra plugins. Problem started after fresh install. Please help

You can use an image from the WP media directory. Just click on the image there to get the full url, and use that for your feature's background image. Or am I totally missing what your asking?
