audaciouscreate 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2011 Hi, I'm setting up a new version of my site - done in Platform Pro - (http://test.audaciouscreative.co.uk/home) to now include a blog on the front/home page. I've written a couple of test posts to see what happens and all I get the excerpt of that post. I'd prefer that not to happen but can't seem to get it to display the entire post. But when I click on the 'Continue Reading' link, Safari gives me this message: Too many redirects occurred trying to open ???http://test.audaciouscreative.co.uk/%page_id%???. This might occur if you open a page that is redirected to open another page which then is redirected to open the original page. I think I understand what is happening but can't work out the fix. So I have two questions: - how can I display whole blog posts rather than just the first few lines (for at least 1 or 2 articles) and - what am I doing wrong to get the message from Safari that I'm getting. Help and advice would be very much appreciated as always. Thanks in advance Stu
audaciouscreate 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2011 UPDATE... I pasted the Safari message into Google and a few sites suggested simply resetting Safari. Which I did. Except now when I click on'Continue Reading'.... nothing happens. Aaargh! Any help REALLY gratefully received. Thanks again Stu
cmunns 16 Report post Posted February 17, 2011 this : `http://test.audaciouscreative.co.uk/%page_id%` makes me think that your permalinks aren't working correctly likely because your .htaccess file isn't writeable. Check and see if they give you any rules on the permalinks edit page that you may have missed. Also, You should be able to pick in the Blog and Post options of PP to show full content on the "posts pages" instead of excerpts.play with those options a bit.
