techinferno 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2011 Hi guys, Question for you: I disabled css + js minify yet for some reason once W3 Total Cache is done uploading to our CDN,the homepage's featured images don't show up. By featured images I mean the built in feature photo slider--it just shows blanks. The site logo also does not show afterward. Any idea how I can resolve these two problems? I can see the potential in using W3 Total cache if I can resolve these two issues. Thank you.

catrina 103 Report post Posted February 13, 2011 How about any plugins? Are there any other plugins installed and activated? Please read the docs before posting. techinferno 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2011 Hi Catrina, There's several plugins that are installed and even disabling all of them didn't fix it. I tried different CDN providers besides Amazon as well. I saw posts from Andrew Powers mentioning that they use W3 Total Cache for their demo site and the platform feature works there so I'd love to know how they did that and what settings were used. Thanks.
techinferno 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2011 I should add that I did allow W3 Total Cache to upload wp-includes and the platform pro themes files (which takes the core/css files with it). Should I not allow W3TC to upload the includes and theme files? Because if I do that, then what exactly will make it to the CDN? Thanks.
techinferno 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2011 Update: I think we solved the problem. We added the following lines for CDN under custom updates: wp-content/plugins/*.png wp-content/uploads/* That resolved the logo + featured image issues. We also decreased our sync time so articles appear faster. These settings are specifically for Amazon/Cloudfront so I hope it's useful for those out there that had no real help. techinferno 0 Report post Posted February 15, 2011 Final update: We were not happy with the Amazon/Cloudfront performance so we switched to MaxCDN and our page load times went from 15-16s to 7s or below! Very impressive and with further tweaks we are aiming to hit 5s or less.I'd highly recommend MaxCDN since it was very easy to setup and the performance improvements were visible almost immediately--truly the perfect fit with Platform Pro. ricardo 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2011 Hey Brian! Where did you had those lines? I have no "custom updates" field on my W3TC pages. Ricardo
techinferno 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2011 Hi Ricardo, My mistake, it was a typo. It's under "Custom file list" in the CDN menu. We also had issues with MaxCDN having spotty service and switched to another one called GoGrid and so far the performance is fantastic and there are no interruptions.
