Help with Setting up the Home Page

Hi, I have read thru the forum but can't seem to find or understand answers related to how-to set up the home page. I have created page called home, set it to the standard feature content, set the home page to static and selected the "home" page...but I have the contetn section and another section showing. I want this to look like the demo home page. Help would be greatly appreciated! Debbie

Ok... in case any one ever reads this...I feel like a total idiot! The answer is to scroll down on the admin page where you will find all of the functionality that you can imagine to set this page up!!! it's simply a matter of checking boxes:)
