Is this the correct code for a hyperlink? (no line underneath)

Recommended Posts

Hi Ive read an article by a leading wordpress guy (Joost) to use pages not posts for my blog.If i do this though, ill need to 'create' my own text widget to use for categories and archives- correct? Anyway, ive tested a text widget with the code: `my text` and it links to what would be my new category but doesnt look like a hyperlink. It works but there is no line underneath it, How can i add a line to make it look like a proper hyperlink? thanks ps i cant show you on my site as its live and i dont want people finding empty links

I've never heard any such thing. Could be bad information, an assumption or maybe there really is an explanation to that reasoning which I would request and not just take it at face value. The only technique that actually know is true that I'm aware of about pages/posts is that it's NOT a good idea to have too many pages, because this gets very "heavy" for WordPress as it's optimized for posts. Now with custom menus, I basically use posts as pages in many cases. Basically create a post, remove commenting and you've got a page. They both load data from the database, they both have a title, meta and content... not sure what the problem would be? Here's a plugin you should be using if you're not already: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/all-in-one-seo-pack/ Thanks, Bryan
