Header Widget or Hook

Recommended Posts

I am just getting used to Pagelines - so bear with me. It seems as if having an optional content header area where the SM icons are would be a smart move. Can someone help me achieve this. I'd prefer a widget - but if that is difficult, maybe some hook. Site I'm pulling together is www.college.themarketingcrew.com

Sure, have you looked around for plugins and shortcodes to help you with this?

Hi Andrew, I'm coming back to this issue - as no luck. I'm trying to create a new section - a widgetized area to be located in the header. Can you help? Sarita

What process have you gone through so far? This page has some custom section info. I'd start there and post any specific issues you run into. http://www.pagelines.com/docs/custom-sections

Adding this: #branding {width:400px; float:left;} #branding.clear {clear:left;} #branding.content {width:400px;} into the custom code section allowed me to place the universal sidebar into the header section as needed by the site design. It's a workaround. Is there is a better way to accomplish this?

If that accomplishes what you want, I'd just stick with it.
