Persevere! I'm a total beginner and I'm getting the hang of it. Just keep messing around with Firebug and if you can't figure it out, just post on the forum and one of these guys will bail you out. It's great.

universalhall7, I totally agree with you. I have been struggling with Pagelines for over a month now. I sometimes wonder if I would be better of just learning something like Dreamweaver, but I have been able to make slow progress through a series of minor breakthroughs. I was attracted for the same reasons you were: 'Build custom websites in seconds', 'You??™ll be surprised at how easy it is to look pro' This is not my first WP site, but I didn't think the learning curve would be so steep. It sounds like others may have been able to pick it up faster, so it's probably just me. When looking at my sites progress after most work days, I usually feel more discouraged than encouraged. It's hard to not just see this as a learning experience and a sunk cost, but I think I am getting close to a useable site. emidzi, I agree that the method of, focus on one issue, then dig for the solution is the best. Whenever I have used the forum, I have found the answers to be thorough and useable. Thanks for the dialogue.
