How to remove featured sections from Buddypress profile pages?

Recommended Posts

I'm all good editing the options on the pages..what to allow and disallow to be shown. However, on the Buddypres inner pages such as if you go to view someone's profile, I can't find a way to remove the sections above the buddypress stuff. So, regular list of members page: http://124bpms.com/members/ Individual members page: http://124bpms.com/members/eborg9/ How do I get rid of the Featured section and othere stuff and just display the member's information. And add a sidebar?

The BuddyPress environment is isolated from PlatformPro... showing and hiding things is a little more complicated with it. Have you thought about using `display: none` for certain things, or contacting the buddypress people?

Support from Buddypress is sketchy to say the least.By the time I get an answer over there that actually works, I will have stumbled ass backwards into a fix. I just thought that maybe someone had asked that before.I'm sure someone else who has used this theme with BP has wanted some control over the sub pages. Keeping my fingers crossed that someone has a solution.

Nope that didn't do it. I think I have an idea. I'll report back.

I'm sure there has to be a way to style sub pages. They have to be using a page template by default when they are automatically created. If I can just find out where that function is, I can change which template they use by default.

Theoretically the CSS should work using `.my-activity #feature {display:none;}` like Bryan was getting at, but really that would load unnecessary items onto those pages which is a bummer. In the future we'll be creating a better system for this
