cmunns 16 Report post Posted January 24, 2011 I don't understand your question. Are you trying to get rid of the feature slider on your blog page or add it to your blog page?

bryan-hadaway 3 Report post Posted January 25, 2011 It would be better to simply create pages for your categories so you have custom control over it and then pull in the posts you want with: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/list-category-posts/ Thanks, Bryan
cesar 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2011 @Bryan The problem is not how to show the category posts, the problem is that how can I show the category posts with same layout as the following blog page: http://www.thegreentreeproject.info/blog-3/'>http://www.thegreentreeproject.info/blog-3/'>http://www.thegreentreeproject.info/blog-3/'>http://www.thegreentreeproject.info/blog-3/ For example if you go to http://www.thegreentreeproject.info/blog-3/'>http://www.thegreentreeproject.info/blog-3/'>http://www.thegreentreeproject.info/blog-3/'>http://www.thegreentreeproject.info/blog-3/ that is my desired layout but if you click a category e.g.blog-3 (http://www.thegreentreeproject.info/blog/category/blog-3/) in the sidebar or an archive in the sidebar then you will get a different layout which I cannot setup from the platformpro options/settings. I want the category and archive pages to look same like the main blog page i.e. http://www.thegreentreeproject.info/blog-3/'>http://www.thegreentreeproject.info/blog-3/'>http://www.thegreentreeproject.info/blog-3/'>http://www.thegreentreeproject.info/blog-3/ If I use custom code in the category and archive pages then the wordpress messes up the wordpress core files by adding chaos to them. Can you please recommend a solution? Any help would be much appreciated. thanks.
Kate 3 Report post Posted January 25, 2011 Hi Cesare - Your best bet would be to modify template.postloop.php so that the same layout/content is displayed for categories as the blog page. Before modifying it, copy it into your base theme, and modify it from there.
