jatb 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2011 I got an e-mail about the updated version of Platform Pro. I guess I didn't know what I was doing and now I messed up! I deleted the other version through WordPress and then installed the zipped file of 1.2.2. It won't install because it says the folder already exists and I have no idea what to do at this point. It was only be a freak occurrence I was FINALLY able to log back into Word Press (after an hour of struggling) and I currently switched to another theme. I tried to reinstall 1.2.2 but it keeps saying the folder already exists. Thanks for any help I can get!

anvilmediainc 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2011 Do you have FTP access into your site? If not, download something like Filezilla and you can get in the back door there. Depending on who you're hosting with, they usually have an FTP section in the control panel that tells you what you need to put in for the Host, and what you need to connect. Have you used an FTP client before?
catrina 103 Report post Posted January 22, 2011 @Frank I'd go with anvilmediainc's suggestion and try using FTP with the help of these instructions: http://www.pagelines.com/docs/upgrading Please read the docs before posting. lomorris 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2011 The reason for the error is that part of the upgrade process includes creating a folder named "platformpro". The folder probably did not get deleted when you used the process through Wordpress. So the upgrade process will find the existing folder and cough up that error. You will notice in the Pageline upgrade instructions that you need to rename the existing platformpro folder to "old_platformpro". Once you do this you should not get the existing folder error anymore. Note: you will need to logon to your host using FTP or your web account to rename the folder where you have platformpro installed.
