Two Types of Feature Navigation?

Is it possible to have two types of navigation active for a feature slider? I want both thumbnails but also previous and next arrows. This is not out of the box possible but perhaps with custom programming. I'm not sure if that's reasonable within the scope of this support forum, but I will mark for developer review. Thanks, Bryan
