Sidebar in Buddypress

Recommended Posts

I must be missing something simple here but here's the problem I am struggling with. In the video on Pagelines doc on buddypress, it shows towards the end of the clip the layout that has sidebar that shows categories, blogroll etc. http://www.pagelines.com/docs/buddypress I want this sidebar to appear in buddypress but not on all pages. I tried several settings but I can't seem to get the sidebar in buddypress at all. See here - http://www.bansuriflute.com/groups What am I missing?

The sidebar should be the same regardless of BuddyPress or not, you are not seeing, however, because you have set the default page to full-width which won't show a sidebar.

Ah. Well that's it. Unfortunately though that would change layout for a whole bunch of pages. Is there any way I can just enable it for buddypress? I know this can be done at individual page level but can it be done for buddypress pages? OR is there a way to mass change layout of all default layout pages to full width once I enable column?

well right now the framework supports two options by default 1. the default layout option 2. the meta layout option (page by page) you can always hack the template pack code though to make it do what you want. There are no limits, just sometimes things get a little harder
