rstarr 1 Report post Posted January 16, 2011 Hello, I followed your doc and installed the wordpress importer plugin to import the WhiteHouse Pro demo. I get the following error: Before you can upload your import file, you will need to fix the following error: Unable to create directory /nobel/ihsrc/site/wp-content/uploads/2011/01. Is its parent directory writable by the server? However, my directory IS writable, but I think the importer is missing some remote path info (because the directory is in a .folder) /users/usagers2/ihsrc/.publication Also, I can't upload media to the library.Same error: ???DS.jpg??? has failed to upload due to an error Unable to create directory /nobel/ihsrc/site/wp-content/uploads/2011/01. Is its parent directory writable by the server? It seems as though I have to change a setting deal with the remote path, but I don't know where to do this. I don't know how to figure out my "Full URL path to files" in Settings/media my site is www.ihsrc2012.uqam.ca/site my server is nobel.si.uqam.ca remote path is /users/usagers2/ihsrc/.publication help! cmunns 16 Report post Posted January 16, 2011 If the directory permissions are set correctly then I would try contacting your host to make sure everything is good on that end and also double check your .htaccess file doesn't have anything out of the ordinary.
