posts loop as subcontent

Recommended Posts

I'd like to base my home page on the look of http://www.pagelines.com/demos/platformpro/ where there is a header (with nav menus), large feature section, then boxes below, all full width. beneath that, split to 2 column, with widgets on right, but on left, where in the above link a page exists ("Why A Drag & Drop Framework?"), i'd like to use the posts loop, so the most current content snippets are displayed. is this possible? i wish i could throw the loop into the "page" area like a widget but so far have been unsuccessful... thanks for the great theme / framework. worth every penny.

Absolutely, with everything people are doing with Platform; one thing that is really simple should be looking like the 'demo' :) So, what do you need different than the default 'feature page' template and some default settings on features?

Fl5XW.png so in this picture, the yellow shaded area is the page content, and wp is set to display this page as index. instead of static page content, i'd like the loop to begin there in that yellow shaded area. possible? thank you!

So what you need to do different is instead of having your home page be the "feature page" template you need to make it the posts page (the default wordpress behavior) When you do this go into PlatformPro Settings - Template Setup and add the feature slide and boxes to the header template area. Then click save and refresh. Go back to those two sections in the header template area and toggle the advanced menu and click "hide by default"...refresh again and go back then do the same thing and instead click "show on posts page"
