electroville 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2011 Hi all, I'm new to Pagelines and am trying to get my head around how to create layouts. Can anyone suggest the way to create the layout for the home page that is attached in the image provided? Thanks Simon

catrina 103 Report post Posted January 15, 2011 The navigation, branding, and Facebook link shouldn't be hard to position. For the mission statement, MDG summary, and contact details, a left sidebar with text widgets could be used. Do you plan on having a feature slider, carousel gallery, or anything other than the boxes and widgets? Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to. webmachiavelli 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2011 In all seriousness I've never understood why people insert twitter feeds into their websites. I'd like to suggest you set your website up some that when you do an update it posts to your twitter account instead of when you post to twitter it posts to your website. cmunns 16 Report post Posted January 15, 2011 I would use the feature boxes for the mission statement, history summary, and twitter feeds areas. Then the left sidebar and page content underneath that. The bottom portion underneath the blog would be a content sidebar. The header area and nav should already be accounted for and easy to setup PageLines Settings - Template Setup
electroville 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2011 Great. Thanks very much for this. I'm trying your sidebar suggestion Catrina, but no they don't want any other features. I have tried adding in boxes for the Welcome to Activ8 and Twitter Feed areas but I can't manage to do it. I know it is probably really simple once you know how, but I am struggling with the instructions. Any help would be gratefully received. Thanks Simon
electroville 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2011 I've managed to work out how to add boxes, but can't get the boxes to do anything other than span the whole page. I want them to sit beside the sidebar. Any suggestions? Thanks
