I've tried a couple of different plug-ins but they didn't work What I'm trying to achieve is - there will be two boxes on the home page - one for News and one for Events and, what I'd like to have in each box is a listing of excerpts from either the posts from the News category or posts from the Events category. The page is a static page. I'm thinking if I can't get this to work with boxes, maybe I can do it with the full width sidebar. Any ideas? Thanks PC Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The way I am handling something similar is this: you can activate a content side bar or full width sidebar or universal sidebar on the pages where you want the widget to show - and then you just drop the widget into the content sidebar from the widget gallery. on the pages where you don't want it to show - you select to hide the content or full width or universal sidebar that's holding the widget. Do you already know what code to input into your widgets to display the posts from the News and Events categories? Please read the docs before posting.
