BuddyPress Template Pack breaks Carousel

Hi, I have the same issue as @TJ Rutkowski with "BuddyPress Template Pack breaks Carousel." And did find the solution is to "Disable BP Template Pack JS/AJAX," but what is happening when? "You can switch this off, however the experience will be somewhat degraded." What is degraded? And, maybe this can be addressed in a future update for PlatformPro?
