Features images not in media library

I can't seem to find the features images and thumbnails in the wordpress media library. Have I got a setting wrong? How do you manage those images?

I might be wrong, but I believe that they aren't stored like typical media. Let's get a link to where some of your featured images are and I can at least tell you exactly where they are located on the server. Thanks, Bryan
