robbin_g 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2010 So now that I have my fancy new theme and (someday) new content, what is the best way to back it all up?
justin 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2010 Well basically do you want to just backup the files or your database, or both? The easyist way, and what I do, it I have automatic image mirroring with my VPS provider. There is a wordpress plugin which claims to do this, haven't ever used it though. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-db-backup/
robbin_g 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2010 If lightening struck where ever my server lives, I want to be able to put it all back without much pain and agony. :-D
justin 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2010 Well if you don't modify the files and database often, simply take a database backup in tool like PhpMyAdmin. Then go and zip up your entire folder in ftp, and store. This of course inst automated, but if your content doesn't change often, will be good enough.
