makeylon 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2011 What I'm trying to do is to create a home page "featured" template (which I've modified), while still having the original featured template available for other pages. Okay, I followed the instructions in the following thread: http://www.pagelines.com/forum/topic.php?id=4901 I got an additional template in my child theme now. However, when I try and move sections into it, it won't save them. When I refresh, its just blank again. What am I doing wrong? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

As far as the styling goes, I could use a .home selector probably for the size reduction of the feature box and moving the sidebar up on the side. However, on the home page, I have also inserted a news ticker between the feature and the boxes, and I don't want the news ticker on any other page than home. I suppose I could always put a page check in the php before rendering the ticker. But my question was also about trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong in the event that I want to make additional changes or create additional templates to further customize my site. So, having followed the directions in the other thread to create/duplicate a template, and not having it work, I was wondering what I was doing wrong that I can't get it to work. Andrew 207 Report post Posted January 15, 2011 Hey Mark, This is an unannounced feature, full docs and additional functionality coming with v1.3.. therefore, we aren't supporting it fully the capability is there, but there may be some debugging to be done. I really love Platform Pro, but I would even love it more if we could arrange (by drag and drop and width/height settings) all elements of a page like we can with the template area. We will get there eventually, but as opposed to other solutions; we are insisting we do it the 'right' way for you guys..
