pcgs 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2011 I may have found this question in another thread but the answer seemed like overkill so I'll state my case here. I have designated a particular graphic for a post on my site. It appears on the Archives page where all the posts are listed but not in the post itself. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug? In this situation I am using PlatformPro 1.2.1 with the PlatformBase child theme. I have another site that uses PlatformPro 1.1.5 with the PlatformBase child theme and the featured image shows on the archives pages and the posts with no additional editing of the php. I don't want to update to 1.2.1 on that site and find out all my featured images are now gone from each post. I need to know how to proceed. How do I get them to show up in both places? It would also be nice to control and maybe turn it off in some situations too.

Andrew 207 Report post Posted January 11, 2011 The recent updates haven't touched the code that handles the code for featured images... Other than that, I don't quite understand your question: what is not working as intended? How should it work? (screenshots/live links?)
pcgs 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2011 But Andrew, something has changed. Example: I have a site that has NOT been updated to v1.2.1 which uses "featured images" in the posts. I have no problems there. On the Archives page (which lists all posts site wide) you can see thumbnails of the featured images. If you click through to the individual post the featured image appears as it should. You can see this behavior at <http://handsonpaws.com post example> The image shows up and the heading text wraps. On a newer site I'm working on, I updated right away to PlatformPro v1.2.1. Here too, I am using featured images. But if you view an individual post, the image is missing. If you view the Archives page the featured image's thumbnails show up. Reviewing the individual post page with FireFox I see this: Firefox shows that the selected area displayed in my screenshot is defined as: .fpost .post-header.post-nothumb Firstly, my post title is very long the text does not wrap as it should. It wraps as you see in the screenshot and will overlap my sidebar unless I simply write short titles. I'm having a hard time fixing this so a little help here would be nice. Next I'd like the featured image to show up. But if its a bug I guess I need to wait for a fix or downgrade to v1.1.5 of PlatformPro because I've got no problems with v1.1.5. To sum it up, for my newer project in question, if I can avoid downgrading to v.1.1.5 I would settle to solve the situation by removing the padding of the post-header so as to move everything over to the left by about 100px and of course making sure that the div does not overlap my sidebar. I've spent plenty of time fighting with it and can't find a solution. So now I'm asking for help. But sooner or later those featured images really should display in posts. Maybe there is a setting I'm missing but comparing the two sites I cannot see what I'm missing here. Thanks.

pcgs 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2011 Another update, the post-header is no longer indented nor is it overlapping. Sorry for the long request for help. Most of my previous stated issue is no longer a problem. HOWEVER, the featured image for the individual posts is still missing. Is there some setting I've missed to make it work? Thanks
adriarichards 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2011 @Pcgs Is this the thumbnail you want to show up on posts? location of thumbnail on post page The setting you're asking about is located in "Blogs And Posts" under the Pagelines PlatformPro settings area from the Wordpress Dashboard. In order for the thumbnails to show up in the posts, you need to check the box for "Single Post Pages" under "Post Thumbnail Placement" Screenshot screenshot of settings
