Export/Import feature doesn't seem to carry everything over

Recommended Posts

I've tried both the PlatformPro export and native Wordpress export files, but when importing, some things don't carry over. For instance, images attached to the Features posts; or the categories or text attached to the Boxes posts; or widget settings. Perhaps there is a certain order one should perform these functions? 1. Activate PP theme. 2. Import file A 3. Import file B Or do some things just not carry through? This would seem to defeat or diminish the usefulness of the export feature as it could make future site generation extremely quick.

I know for one custom post type "sets" don't transfer, but whether it's WP or PP let's get a list together of what doesn't transfer.

Gentlemen, This is what I was referring to in my post over at http://www.pagelines.com/forum/topic.php?id=3899 (scroll down). Let's say I have everything setup the way I want it. Then I export the settings. Then I'll reset the PP settings. Then after everything is reset, I'll import the settings I previously exported. When I do, nothing is uploaded... no images, no social media settings, none of the colors, etc. I did double check the exported .dat settings and I see all the image references and social media link references, but when it's uploaded nothing works.
