How do I place banner ads in the sidebar of platform?

Recommended Posts

I can't get of my banner ads in the sidebar. How do I do it and/or where should I go? I couldn't find anything in the docs and I'm not knowledgeable enough to screw with the CSS. Help - I just got the theme and I've got ads to place. And one more thing. Can I have ads for one page and not others? Thanks - in desperate need... Scott

Yes you can have ads on some and not other pages, but what kind of ads are you trying to place?

I have downloaded images that I want to place in the sidebars with affiliate links to the host site. I also want to know how to place ads at different places in the sidebars. some of my pages are long and I don't want all of the ads crammed together at the top. If fact, I find the whole sidebar thing confusing. I'm not really sure what's the difference between the primary, secondary, tertiary, universal, the wrap etc. I can't but think there's some plugin that allows you to create ad boxes anywhere you want on a page.

Thanks. I already had that plugin installed, but I thought it would only display ads that are 125x125. I went to the plugin site and see there's more functionality to it. I also looked at - http://www.maxblogpress.com/plugins/mba/ This widget actually seems really user friendly and allows you to place ads anywhere. I'm not sure what the restrictions are, but I'll find out. Check it out. He's got a great video that shows what it does. Scott
