tgoodridge 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2011 Hi gang- noticing that changes I am making all over the site are "Saving" but aren't taking effect in real time- in fact, some time changes happen sooner in safari before chrome... I imagine this is a hosting issue because changes aren't been sent? Or, if not, can i troubleshoot any way? Thanks gang
cmunns 16 Report post Posted January 6, 2011 Did you install a caching plugin?
tgoodridge 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2011 Yep- I have 2 installed- is that overkill? I have super cache and w3-total- but have the following error with w3 total.."Page caching is not available: advanced-cache.php is not installed" Any recommendations either way? I guess the plug-ins are causing the delay, right... Buuut. when i bring up the site on my iphone4-it's up to date. Why is the mobile version of my website updating faster than with firefox, chrome, safari? Not a huge priority, but just curious here thanks!
bryan-hadaway 3 Report post Posted January 7, 2011 I could be wrong, but I don't think having two caching plugins is a good idea. Anyways, yes that is the problem with caching, updates don't work in real time. Personally that why I do not use caching plugins as I make frequent updates. You'll have to work out what's most important to you. Thanks, Bryan
