Updating to latest wordpress 3.04 changed my entire blog, HELP

So I used godaddy to automaticaally install the new wordpress update, but had to roll it back because it changed everything about my blog. How do i update to new wordpress and keep my content the same as it is now. James

GoDaddy is a poor host to begin with and we've seen many problems arise with it. In addition it's not advisable to let GoDaddy automate anything. I would try updating from the WordPress admin itself, you might also need to check and make sure you're using the latest version of your theme. Thanks, Bryan

Should I do a export first to make sure my theme is saved in case updating from the admin messes things up?

@James Yes, backup your theme files, and also either your entire database, or at least your PageLines settings and export a WP XML file (under "Tools->Export"). It's always a good idea to have backups just in case
