carterdjohnson 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2011 This is for an absolute newbie who knows only the most basic of php: I am following the Pageline README file for installing Platform Forum and integrating it into my Platform Pro with WordPress; however, when I reach the step to activate the Theme under "Appearance", there is nothing there for me to activate. I have installed and activated Platform Pro; I have installed bbPress; I have activated the forum options in "custom code"; I have placed the PlatformForum folder into the bb-templates folder, but I don't know how to activate the forum theme. Please let me know what I should do or how I might proceed. Thanks-
bryan-hadaway 3 Report post Posted January 4, 2011 This is to be done in the bbPress admin, not the WordPress admin. Thanks, Bryan
carterdjohnson 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2011 Not specific enough. What has to be done under bbPress admin?
carterdjohnson 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2011 I get this message when I try to activate through the bbPress admin: Deep Integration With WordPress Required It appears your WordPress installation isn't deeply integrated which is required for Platform Forum to work correctly (it needs access to WP functions). More info: Your WordPress install needs to be loaded on your forum pages, so we can use WP's functions. This is done by "including" (with a line of code) the wp-load.php file from WordPress. For help, please see bbPress.org, the info here deep integration with WordPress and contact your host for the path to include your WP install.

carterdjohnson 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2011 Thanks a lot. I appreciate your help. Fortunately, I was able to find help in some of the documentation and from someone at my provider. I knew I had to add the line of code, just didn't know where in the file to place it. Now, I have another new, but separate issue...lol...
