patrick 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2009 Hello, I would also like to know how to edit and/or remove the three custom boxes in the footer of the Feature page. (Looking for Something?/Visit Our Friends/Archives). I thought this would be under the Feature Setup page or Custom Fields on the Page Edit menu, but I have not found anything so far. Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated. Regards, Patrick
Andrew 207 Report post Posted October 14, 2009 Hi Patrick, There is a theme option to turn these 'on' or 'off'. Their content is controlled in the 'appearance' > widgets panel Hope this helps
patrick 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2009 Hi Andrew, Sorry but I'm still stuck. I've looked at and clicked on every section in the Widgets section under Appearances, but I don't see any widgets when I click the drop-down arrows of each of the elements in the right-hand column. Like Blogger, I was kind of expecting to see something in the footer_left/middle /right boxes that I could drag out to turn off the Search/Blogroll/Archives in the footer of my Feature page, but those boxes are empty. Then I tried dragging "Archives" and "Search" from Available Widgets to Inactive Widgets, but they still appear on the homepage, even after refreshing. Sorry if I'm going about this all wrong. Any additional guidance would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Patrick
Andrew 207 Report post Posted October 15, 2009 Hey Patrick, Any widgets you drag into the "footer_left/middle/right" sidebars will replace the current ones. So to control their content just add your own widgets, whatever you'd like. To remove them completely, just uncheck the box in the options. Ap
patrick 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2009 Thank you, Andrew. That did the trick.
blogfactory 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2009 Patrick - I've tried pulling my "search" widget into the left and "links" into the middle in an effort to replicate what's found in the bottom three panels at http://www.pagelines.com/demos/iblogpro/ - so far without luck. (The left two simply don't show up) 1) Which search widget and links (blogroll) widget are you using? 2) If I drag in different widgets, some show up, i.e. Pages Can I trouble you for advice? fesupport 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2009 I've tried and tried and still cannot get this to work. The three footers will not allow me to move any widgets into them. I thought it may be the browers but I've tried on both Firefox and Safari - neither work. I can move widgets into Drag-Down and Accordion, but not footer_left, footer_middle and footer_right. In fact, nothing shows in either of the three boxes, yet "Search - Visit Friends - Archive" shows on all the pages, just not in the Appearance > Widgets page. Please help.
