How to change entire website background colour

Hi, My website address is: http://www.ei-research.net/ I would like to change the background colour from white to very light green (#C1FFC1 for example). How can I do this? Will this affect the header and footer background colour too? I would like them to be changed with the rest of the page too if possible. Thank you for helping!
